Dear Wood Acres Students,
I am very pleased to introduce myself as the new principal intern of Wood Acres Elementary. A principal intern is a person who is learning to be a principal and this year, Mrs. Sherburne will be my teacher. I’m really excited to meet you and learn all about Wood Acres.
Before coming to Wood Acres, I worked as an assistant principal for 4 years and I also taught 4th and 5th grades. For two years I taught 4th grade in Guadalajara, Mexico. I speak Spanish and I love to travel and learn about other cultures.
On a personal note, I am married and have two sons, Matias who is 6 years old and Nicolas who is 3 years old. I love to read, travel, eat, dance and play outside with my kids. My Grandfather was a principal and my father was a principal too. I can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.
I’ve already learned a lot about Wood Acres and how hard the students work. I was glad to hear that we work hard on getting good grades as well as working hard at being good friends and citizens. I can’t wait to see our great teachers in action as you learn with your classmates.
I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know your families very soon. Please have a happy and safe summer.
Sincerely,
Mr. Scott
